Ok well i am currently in a bind that Google and yahoo cannot help me with. When my father passed away, i inherited alot of old war stuff.. my question is, how do i know its actual or a replica. Now i am not looking in selling any of it, but i want to find out how i can get it authenticated with out being told a lie or have it stolen. Some websites out of google, had people say " Send me your item and ill see if its authentic and if so ill purchase it from you and if not, ill send it back "...ya right, i dont want it stolen. My old man always told me the story of 1 particular helmet, but hell i was a kid and thought it was a joke. but the helmets have never left my sight. When my wife moved back to chicago while i was deployed she put the helmets in a box that sat in the front seat of the car and taken into the hotel room with her cause she knew how important these things are to me. I am hoping someone can help me out here. If the item is authentic, do i get paperwork on it stating that it is authentic or what ??? where is a good place to go to find out if this helmet is authentic??? what do i do, i will upload a picture of the very helmet that my father always told me about and always made this helmet stand out in the living room for others to see..
